WHO WE ARE

The KRP Development Group is an experienced and talented team of professionals specializing in turn-key Real Estate Development, Project and Construction Management, Property Management, and Asset Management services. The Group evolved out of Kanata Research Park Corporation, a privately held company established in 1986 by Dr. Terence Matthews. This real estate company originally started with 100 acres of land in Kanata, Ontario, which included the Newbridge Networks Corporation world headquarters.

Kanata Research Park Corporation expanded its land holdings to 566 acres to create Kanata Research Park, Ottawa Region’s largest commercial office park located in Kanata Ontario. Subsequently, KRP Development Group was responsible for the development, construction, property management and asset management of the 1.85M sq.ft. of commercial Class A knowledge work space located in the Park.

Additionally, the KRP Development Group was also responsible for the development and construction of the 18 hole Robert Trent Jones designed Marshes Golf Course, and the 4 Diamond Brookstreet Hotel, as well as a 102 unit niche executive town home development, all located in the Kanata Research Park.

KRP Development Group's residential experience also includes the redevelopment of a 1940’s industrial building into 16 “Chicago style” loft condominiums and the construction of a new 39 unit loft condominium known as Parkdale Market Lofts in Ottawa’s trendy Westboro community.
